old friend

I had to create a small piece for a Pet Helpers charity event and I decided to do a little trompe l'oeil piece of my childhood golden retriever Halo. He was a 90lb bundle of pure devotion and love. It was a little sad to stare into those big brown eyes for a few days but its nice to know that his friendly face will be responsible for helping some other furry friends find good homes.

color coordinated

this little guy could not have been more color coordinated for the painting. I didn't need to pull out any new colors when working on the chrome bowl because they were all right there in the raccoon.

Candles

I don't know if I'll ever stop painting candles, there's just something about that soft glow that I love. Here's a new little 8" x 8" I'm working on.

Hippo

So far this hippo has been an interesting model to work with. I'm really going to try and emphasize his rotund figure while painting the rest of him.
